Our Families & Students

HISD schools are committed to supporting students and families with clear communication and easy access to essential tools. In this section, you’ll find everything from our school event calendar, grading & report cards, and supply lists to transportation details, school IT support, and login portals like Canvas and Connect. Whether you're a new parent or returning family, these resources are designed to help you stay connected and engaged throughout the school year.

We are asking all our new to HISD families to complete both Online Enrollment and In-Person Registration for the 2026-2027 school year.
 
Online Enrollment:
Online enrollment for the 2026-27 school year beginning in August 2026 begins Wednesday, April 8th midday.

You can complete Online Enrollment for NEW to HISD students by visiting this link and selecting “New Student”: https://apps.hisd-survey.org/surveys/enrollment. You can use a computer, tablet, or smartphone to get started. 
 
You will need your child’s basic information and enrollment documents that include: 
- Proof of identification for both the parent/guardian and student
- Proof of address
- Proof of Grade
- Immunization Records

You can use the SignUpGenius link below to schedule your registration appointment at ROE. If you are registering more than one student, please reserve one time slot per student.

- Birth certificate
- Parent ID
- Immunization records
- Proof of residence
- Current utility bill (gas, water, or electricity)
- Last report card (if available) 
- Social Security number (if applicable)
- Any custody decree (if applicable)
